Humanity has spread across the stars thanks to an army of super-human warriors called Space Marines and billions of normal human soldiers called the Astra Militarum. The setting is 38,000 years in the future from our current time, hence the title Warhammer 40,000. What is Warhammer 40,000 and what is Darktide about? Xbox players have to wait even longer though it is still listed as being available this year. The game was initially slated for release last year but covid-19 related delays mean it is released for PC players today.
The game is released today, 30 November, after a successful Beta test.
While popular for its miniature wargame, a number of big titles have been released in recent years such as Space Marine, Dawn of War, and now Darktide.
